Link to the boat is broken. Can you use it once you buy it, or is it one of those deals where you are required to cut it up for scrap?

and I'm not sure, but I love the idea of buying it, turning up and just whipping it out of there at full throttle.
"Thanks Navy!"

Knowing a little bit about these boats, the deal should include some kidney transplants. At speed these boats beat the living crap out of you.

(!) 11,790 hours on the airframe, holy shit!

I mean, these things have been around since 'Nam. I'm not surprised

I mean, I'm sure 45 kts is adequate.

True, that's still a ton of hours for an airframe. I did some math: 1.345 years of continuous service. 24 hrs/day 365.25 days/yr

Holy crap, that's amazing! If I had a hundred grand I'd buy this in a heartbeat.

As a former SWCC who piloted these, the top speed listed is a little under actual.
I'd love to own one of these myself if I had the means. It's really a triumph of badassery. I waited on the training list to go to MKV Coxswain school for about a year just to qualify on it.
Scary Wonderful is the only way I could describe it.

SO wiki says they cost 3.7mil and the Navy is selling them why?

I assume these have hour limits similar to mileage limits on cop cars to make sure they stay reliable. Either that or they depreciate that much

True that would really suck for a check engine light in a combat zone. Also with the hull taking such a beating.

Worth noting: at $100K, it says, "Reserve not met." So, this might not be the screamin' deal it appears. Still, cool-ass boat.

I mean, this thing could get up to a million, and it would still be a steal.

So when I win the lottery, I am totes making one into my personal yacht. Those ramps on the back, they can hold Jet Skis, yes? :)

Jet skis, 10 meter inflatables, smaller ski boats, advanced submersible delivery unit, sure, whatever you'd like.

That's pretty low hours for a Phrog.
